  • a web site where event managers could profile their event and list it among all others
  • a web screen participants could register online for any of the events
  • a system that allowed for scores to be entered for any competitive events
  • a tool that allows for immediate results posting
  • a blog that hosted event blogs showing the true colors of the event (text, photo, video)
  • a live streaming toolset to be used to stream any event live on the web
One such event series is the Hometown Throwdowns... a grassroots whitewater series spanning the globe.  Organizers have the above mentioned tools and more and garner a growing amount of traffic to each event due to the coverage and services they provide via the system OncouRSS has developed for organizers. Our clients are people just like yourself, business owners/entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, sports enthusiasts - people who can benefit from reaching out via the world wide web but just need a little help to do it. Social media offers opportunities for all of them but it is often overwhelming. OncouRSS has found that, with a proper step back, we can find the right path for your company in this new generation of web presence.

OncouRSS has begun focusing on a number of verticals, verticals we believe can truely benefit from the power and flexibility of this new generation of web tools and opportunities. As we build on these new markets our clients have naturally fallen into what we like to call… web cliques:

Small business

Small businesses we work with have three principal requests for us “… get to our market as quickly as possible, give us full control over our content, and don’t kill us with expensive web costs.” Our small business solutions do just that! Using WordPress’ publishing tool engine, OncouRSS is able to build a site very quickly, with cutting edge design and at a cost level that will surprise you.

Some clients who have taken advantage of these opportunities include:

Artists

The artist can take full advantage of this new social media platform we see today. Their art, of course, is aimed at the senses, and so are todays new media platforms. Artists, however, often find themselves lost in these public, shareware platforms, lost in mediocraty of ‘templated design’… as an artist, nothing is more irritating and counterproductive than blending in with the crowd. With our rich design and the powerful multimedia capabilities of our platforms, artists can solve both these issues…in a very cost friendly way.

Here are some of our artist friends sites…

Tourism

OncouRSS has been involved with tourism and municipal organizations for many  years.  Our efforts have allowed us to be unique in our industry-leading approach to the event managers, tourism operators and volunteer organizations from all over.  Our first project was the development of tools to manage regional tourism providers in a large database.  From there our prowess in that sector grew leaps and bounds… and so did our tourism clientele:

Software Developers

No industry uses the latest technology like the software industry. Indeed, it is so highly used that some smaller IT companies face the challenge of providing their markets and clients with all the bells and whistles of the bigger IT companies. They need to provide the sales tools to compete on a global scale, they need to build full product whitepaper pages, ecommerce, customer testimonials and have a full support system as well as CRM etc. In the old days this was pretty close to insurmountable… now, it’s not. WordPress and other tools allow OncouRSS to build sites with full power … many thanks to the power of our full line of plug ins and applications that simply add functionality to our core web publishing environment.

Some of our IT clients looking big in this tough and competitive industry include:

Adventurers and Sporting Types

Enthusiast based sports tend to garner, well, enthusiasts. We enthusiasts like to walk, run, hike, climb, jump, ride and paddle vicariously through the experiences of others, namely the pros! These meandering heroes are perfect blog fodder as each day is an opportunity for content… text, photo, video. Our social media platform allows these individuals a tool to share, communicate and converse - their regular posts are opportunities for them to sell their books and DVDs, promote their sponsors and keep us all entertained.
