Create a New Post in WordPress
A post in WordPress is a news item. Often these get pulled/teased to the front page of your site and get stored in a news archive on your site. It is most helpful to create frequent, short posts about topics of interest to your visitors as it keeps your content fresh and is quite appealing to the search engines.
Here are the steps involved in creating a new post:
1. Go to Posts / Add New
Add a new WordPress post
2. Enter a headline and content.
3. Select an appropriate category for your post (some sites filter content to various pages / areas based on which category or categories the post sits in)
Create a headline, body content and select categories
4. Publish your post. If you want to save your work without publishing to your site then select “Save Draft”.
